WestVets Appointment and Cancellation Policy
At WestVets Animal Hospital, we are dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary care to our clients and their beloved pets. To ensure that we can accommodate everyone efficiently, we have implemented the following appointment and cancellation policies.

Appointment Reminders
- Appointment Notifications: You will receive a reminder via our booking system before your scheduled appointment.
- Surgery or Procedure Confirmations: For surgeries or procedures, our reception team will call you 1-2 days before your appointment to confirm the time.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
We kindly request that you provide notice when cancelling or rescheduling your appointments:
- For regular appointments: Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
- For surgeries or procedures: Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.
This notice lets us offer your appointment slot to another client in need.
Emergencies and Missed Appointments
We understand that emergencies happen. If you miss an appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, please call us as soon as possible at 587-425-6733. We are happy to discuss and adjust any charges on your account if needed.
Cancellation and No-Show Fees
- Appointments: If less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, a non-refundable fee starting at $25.00* may apply.
- Surgeries/Procedures: A non-refundable fee starting at $50.00* may apply if less than 48 hours’ notice is provided.
No-Show Fees:
- Appointments: If you do not attend your scheduled appointment, a non-refundable fee starting at $50.00* may apply.
- Surgeries/Procedures: If you do not attend your scheduled surgery or procedure, a non-refundable fee starting at $100.00* will apply.
Multiple No-Shows or Short Notice Cancellations:
- Repeated instances may result in a non-refundable fee starting at $50.00* being applied to your account before your pet can be seen.
- Pre-payment of the next appointment’s exam fee may be required to schedule another appointment.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive 10 or more minutes late for an appointment, you may need to be rescheduled. Please call us at 587-425-6733 to inform us if you’re running late. We’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Fee Details
Non-refundable fees are determined based on the specific treatments or surgeries scheduled on the day of the “No-Show” or “Short Notice” cancellation. The attending veterinarian may vary these fees.
